The poem 'Mother's Love', by Michael Adesanya,describes the great love that a mother has, towards her children. The poet says that a mother understands the real cause of our tears and soothes us when in pain. She knows the reason behind our disappointments and the sacrifices behind our success. The amity and amiable bonding that every child has with his/her mother is not found in any other relationship. Right from the immaculate Saint Marry to the soulful Mother Teresa, we have numerous examples of divine mothers. In this 'mom poem' as well, a mother has been compared with angels sent from heaven, by God. The poet says that a mother is more than an angel. While angels are just a part of belief, a myth, a mother is an angel in real terms, living with us, living for us.

There are times when only a Mother's love
Can understand our tears,
Can soothe our disappointments
And calm all of our fears.
There are times when only a Mother's love
Can share the joy we feel
When something we have dreamed about
Quite suddenly is real.
There are times when only a Mother's faith
Can help us on life's way
And inspire in us the confidence
We need from day to day.
For a Mother's heart and a Mother's faith
And a Mother's steadfast love
Were fashioned by the Angels
And sent from God above.
