The poem 'My Eternal Love', by Tanya R. Board, is an exposition of true love. Tanya says that her beloved is a part of her life. As water is crucial for a flower and honey for a bee, her beloved is essential for her survival. She says that she remembers him when the wind blows, feeling her love for him grow more and more. In this 'teenage love' poem, the poetess says that even when she would be no more on this earth, she would continue to love him. Tanya says that her love, for her beloved, is forever, lasting even after her death.
My Eternal Love
As water is to a flower,
And honey is to a bee,
You are always there,
You are a part of me.
As the wind blows,
Through the distant land,
My love for you grows,
Never wanting to end.
As the stars are to the night,
And the grass is to the ground,
You must definitely know,
My love is all around.
And when there is no wind,
No land, night or sun,
I'll love you forever and always,
Even when my life here is done.
And when my days are over,
My life here on earth is through,
I hope you'll forever know,
I'll still be in love with you
I'll still be in love with you
