Our Friendship By Melinda Stankosky

Melinda Stankosky, in the poem 'Our Friendship', remembers golden days of her friendship, when she with her friend. AT times, she wonders where those days have gone. However, she is also happy that she got to spend some lovely time with her friends. She keeps the memories of those days as treasure. Stankosky knows that the time gone would not come back and there is no way she can go back to the life she had lived. However, she wants her friend to know that she will always be there. Friends go away physically, leaving their memories. But, their memories remain in our heart forever.

Our Friendship

Our friendship started many years ago.

Where the days have gone I don't know,

But when I think of all we've done

I stop and smile because we've had such fun.

I hope you know how much I care.

Its friends like you who create a pair.

I wish I were closer to share your happiness;

But near or far, I wouldn't miss

All the things you have to share.

I hope you know I am always here.

I know it is harder being miles away,

But always remember this when I say,

"Our friendship is a treasure

Well beyond any measure."
