The poem 'Waitin' By Coffee Man' has been written in a funny, yet satirical style. In this poem, the poet - Joe describes the torment a person goes through when he is asked to wait for his order. Written in descriptive style, it tells about the ordeal of going to a café. Joe says that when you are in a café and waiting for the coffee you ordered, you start feeling drowsy and, at times, end up sleeping. The funniest part is if you do not give tip to the waitress, she would not entertain you the way you want. Finally, Joe suggests that you should not go to the coffee shop where you have not paid any tip to the waitress, because there are strong chances that you will not receive a good service..
Waitin' By Coffee Man
Waiting for latte' can be a chore,
Looking at my watch, and waiting by the door.
Anticipating the flavor and smelling the aroma,
I hope the waitress hurries before I go into a coma.
My life saving cup is finally brought while I nap,
And the waitress awakes me by spilling it on my lap.
The moral of the story is for latte's sans distress;
Don't go to cafes where you didn't tip the waitress.
